Femme Soleil October Spotlight Belinda Parkes wearing FS merch

Meet Belinda Parkes - our Femme Soleil October Spotlight!

In the thrilling world of sailing, there are those who stand out not just for their skills but for their unwavering passion. Belinda Parkes is one such sailing maverick, and we are thrilled to cast the Femme Soleil spotlight on her. If there's one thing that defines Belinda, it's her insatiable thirst for the open water. From the very moment she set foot on a boat to race in 2021, she was hooked, and she hasn't looked back since!

While some might see sailing as a leisurely pastime, Belinda sees it as an adrenaline-fueled pursuit. She's not content with an occasional sail on calm waters; she craves the excitement of competitive racing. Her journey is a testament to her unwavering dedication to the sport.

It's not so much Belinda's experience but her commitment to what's next that has drawn us to her. Having followed her journey since January this year. Belinda has been a permanent crew member on Farr40 Windy Too for Wednesday and Saturday Series. She has also sailed on vessels from the sleek Tailwind - Beneteau First 40.1 at the Beneteau Regatta to the spirited Gusto - Northshore 360 at the Royal Motor Yacht Club Broken Bay Newport, and loved every minute. Taken part in a few of the Blue Water Point score races. The LGT Crestone Winter Women's Series in 2023 saw her a join  Bliss - Grand Soleil 44 at CYCA, and claimed victory. She's taken part in Thursday twilight series, and has ventured farther, competing in the iconic Magnetic Island Race Week in 2023 aboard TP52 J-Bird Sailing to most recently (last Sunday) in the Sydney Women’s Keelboat Series 2023, she sailed on Alchemy - S80, an all-women crew that defied all odds, securing victory!

She's set her sights on diversifying her skillset, exploring new horizons, and sailing on more boats across the globe. And her next dream? To find an all-female crew to compete in the Sydney to Hobart, if you have a crew in mind please reach Belinda on Facebook Here

Here's a glimpse of what's on for Belinda's October Sailing Season:
